Our Story
Curtin Construction LLC was started in 1969 in East Haddam, CT. Originally a partnership, Jim Curtin in later years bought out his partner and became the sole owner of the company. They started with small jobs and eventually reached the point of building roads and subdivisions. Jim's sons, Joe and Greg Curtin, both joined the business full time after finishing college — Joe in 2007, and Greg later in 2015.
With over 50 years of experience, Curtin Construction takes on a variety of jobs ranging from complete house site work, roads, septic systems, drainage, and grading of all kinds. We have our own gravel pit where we supply, screen, and crush our own materials.
We also have a range of equipment varying in size and function, allowing us to take on a wide array of work — whether it's a small job for a mini excavator, or a full sized 20 ton machine for major excavation. We have the right equipment, and most importantly, we have the knowledge for the job.
How We Work
Every job starts with a visit — not a guess from a photo. We look at access, grade, drainage, and soil before we quote anything.
You get a clear scope and price before work begins, with no surprise add-ons for conditions we could have caught up front.
The same people who scope the work are the ones operating equipment on site, start to finish.
Where We Work
Based in East Haddam, we take on residential and light commercial site work throughout the lower Connecticut River valley.
